From today’s Facebook post:

Good morning everyone!

It’s an especially pretty morning here – mild temperature, bright sunshine and big puffy white clouds marching across a very intense blue sky. I find myself unsure as to whether I should grab my camera, my sketchbook, or just pause every few minutes to look again at how the cloud shapes have changed.

Days like this always feel like they are going to pass quickly. It is late Fall, after all. I have the urge to try to figure out how to squish extra time into my day, and that’s being offset by knowing that it isn’t more time that’s needed. There’s quite a bit of time there if I don’t go trying to squish everything into one day – or worse yet, get caught up in thinking about how I might be able to make a bit more time if only I could plan a bit harder or better.

Sketchbook wins for now. There is enough space in this morning to grab pencil and paper (and cup of tea too, of course) and draw poofy cloud shapes without any thoughts of if or how they may end up being used in future designs. I guess it’s not really the day or the clouds that’s the really big deal. It’s the being comfortable with the idea of letting time pass while studying clouds without feeling the urge to multi-task.

Have a lovely coloring Tuesday!
