Today’s coloring pictures show you the two tone shading that I used for the dark chocolate and mint candy chips on my frosted gingerbread cookie. Adding candy after candy color to this page starts to make the eye and mind expect to see candy everywhere – so it’s fine if things aren’t exactly true to life.
I’m already thinking ahead to next Christmas I color this page – wondering how this design would look printed on a Christmas card. And then remembering that I still have this year’s cards to address and mail.
Holiday seasons are often a blend of high activity times and cozy restful moments. I’m finding that working on such a slowly shaded coloring gives me some time to put everything on pause for a while and clears my thoughts so that I can really appreciate all of the little details that make each holiday so special.
