Another late night of coloring! It’s very hard to stop at a reasonable hour when there is so little left to color.
Here’s a slide show overview of my most recent coloring progress: Thoughts: It’s starting to feel perfectly normal to color each shape with two or three different colors. There is definitely a pleasant coloring rhythm to it and there no longer feels like much need to hurry. Perhaps a few shading successes have helped set expectations for how long it will take a picture to unfold, and nice and slow is perfectly OK. Other stuff: It did actually feel good to finish dealing with the laser printer ink flakes. I’ve got an inkjet printer ordered, and when it arrives there will be the fun of testing to see which coloring media play nicely with my printer ink and paper combination. Not everything will work ideally, of course, but I should be able to use heavier papers without all of these flakes. I might have to color with pencils or change my marker technique a little depending on how the alcohol ink wants to interact with the ink – but exploring can lead to all kinds of new fun. 🙂 Today’s book: Breathe For Crayons And Wide Tipped Markers Colored with: Copic Sketch Markers Using this shade palette: Copic shade palette.
