I try to make up for slow coloring by taking a picture every time I move on to the next marker shade – but some of the photos today are really going to test your ability to spot what’s changed since the previous photo.

It’s even worse for me when I’m organizing my photos to get ready upload them. I actually shoot about half a dozen pictures fro each one that you see here so that I end up with one that’s not tipped at a jaunty angle. And then I take them all, load them into Adobe Lightroom and crop them so they are nice and neat. (Adobe Lightroom is designed for sorting through lots of photos quickly and making simple adjustments easily – perfect for when you need to pick the best 10 photos out of 60 possibilities.)

(More on that after we see the pictures.)

Here’s a slide show with my step by step slow coloring progress:

Anyway, picture me trying to sort through all of my photos making sure I don’t end up with duplicates for our slide show. It was REALLY tough with today’s pictures. And then I suddenly realized how much easier it would all be if I just shoot a random photo of the room or the dogs or my hubby to use as an easy to spot marker right after I finish shooting all of my “do over” snapshots. So now my routine is color, set down marker, bunch of photos, random photo mark to the end of one set of photos – then on to the next marker shade to do it all over again. This will save me so much time on tomorrow’s blog post – because these “spot the difference” slow coloring days can be a real eye test!
