Calming colors and being a little tired made this coloring really relaxing to finish up. I stuck with the colors I had already used yesterday, so today it was just a matter of filling in the remaining spaces. (Well, most of them – this picture kept asking for me to leave a little white space.)

So much of the layout of the color was in place at the end of last night’s coloring that you may have to hunt to see each little progress step in these photos.

This spot would have made a pretty stopping point, but I wanted to color in just a bit more.

My final picture reminds me of a crocheted doily, but sometimes it also reminds me of a flower bloom. I’ve always loved those squashie circles that edge the center of this drawing. And in these colors, I really like those striped arrowheads and am so glad that I’ve left white around them so that they catch the eye easily. I think that this is also a nice example of somewhat dull colors looking extremely cozy. As often happens, I think that this picture is my favorite of the moment.
(Today’s favorite is from Balance For Crayons And Wide Tipped Markers.)
