Today you can see the real beauty of yesterday’s set of colors. This was such a great feeling piece to color – there was never any wondering about where I should place the individual colors because they all played so nicely together.

I think that what really works in these shades is that there are three very closely related hue groups. The middle group are those red-violet and pinky shades and I have a full range of light to darks in that group. My neighboring color groups have those two pale peachy tones, and two darkish purple tones. I just know I’m going to have to try this again in another color group to see how it works. 6 shades in one group with a full range of light to darks, then two light color neighbor shades from one side of the color wheel, and two dark color neighbor shades from the other side. It could be a mess, but I bet it will be fun.

And maybe, just maybe, it will be as magical and effortless as this set of colors.
