I don’t really have any plan for which colors are going to go where in this piece. One things that’s so nice about coloring abstract patterns is that they tend to be perfectly happy with all kinds of color schemes.

I’m basically sticking with a few different color pairs right now, but there is quite a difference in the areas where I color with heavy pressure compared to where I use the same colors with a lighter touch.

Greens orange and purple tones are naturally kind of clashy colors, but just space them around the design and they will look nice together. Tomorrow I’m going to bring some more of the greens and golds out toward the edge of the design to add more balance. There’s plenty of white space left to weave all of the contrasting colors together into an orderly arrangement.

Today’s coloring is from Centered For Crayons And Wide Tipped Markers (Angie’s Gentle Mood Menders – Volume 2) colored with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils.
