Whoopsie! Flashback time.
I’ve been trying to get a little ahead with my coloring photos, and yesterday assembled two photo slide shows. I know that a lot of you are used to me spacing out and forgetting what day of the week it is – but this time I’d like to present coloring progress day 2 after you’ve already seen coloring progress day 1.
Oh well, mistakes happen. This is a much better sort of mistake than the one several years ago where my husband and I were invited to a costume party, and someone forgot to tell him that the plans were changed and it wasn’t going to be a costume party after all.
And I just had the most pleasant realization. I am now at the age where there is nothing at all embarrassing about those kinds of oopsies. In fact, I find it quite amusing and rather delightful – a gentle reminder of the humor that can pop up in the unplanned surprise. A moment of reflection on how as children we grow into our feelings of awkwardness or embarrassment, and over time we just may grow back out of them again. 🙂
